ENTRY Phlebotomist I

Pay Range $12.75hr - $17.75hr


Job Overview:


The ENTRY PSR I/Lobby Experience Coordinator (LEC) helps with patient care by greeting patients upon arrival and answering questions or concerns with care and compassion. The candidate will also help maintain the integrity of the waiting area and assist with breaks when other phlebotomists are unavailable. The candidate will also utilize phlebotomy skills to grow within the company.


The ENTRY PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining what to expect to patients regarding the scheduled procedure in a safe and accurate manner. The ENTRY PSR I will demonstrate excellence in customer care while focusing on process skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. The impact of this candidate will be crucial to maintaining the integrity of the lobby and ensuring that all patients are provided with the level of service that is expected.

Requirements:

• Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check-ins in the lobby through either a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.
• Ability to work both in the lobby and in a draw room with patients to help cover breaks.
• Ability to perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• High level of customer service experience and skills are required; this is critical to the heart of the role.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, no exceptions.
• Phlebotomy experience is required, even if only an intern or externship to learn the basics.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service required, such as retail or home health aide.
• Some phlebotomy experience is required.
• Keyboard and data entry experience is a must.
• This is primarily a lobby greeter position to help patients check in at the kiosk and feel more comfortable while waiting to be called back for lab work. The candidate will fill in for breaks and cover staffing shortages.
