Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Part-Time Optometrist to join our mobile care team serving Philadelphia, PA and Southern New Jersey . This role is ideal for someone looking to supplement their current schedule while making a meaningful impact in underserved communities.

All administrative and logistical responsibilities—including equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing—are fully managed by CMC. This is an independent contractor position , allowing you to focus entirely on patient care without the burdens of managing a private practice.

Weekly Schedule

2–3 days per week

Ideal availability would be Monday, Tuesday and/or Wednesday each week. 

Typical hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine eye exams, refractions, and vision screenings

• Diagnose and manage ocular diseases common in geriatric populations

• Prescribe corrective lenses and coordinate with optical labs as needed

• Educate patients and facility staff on eye health, prevention, and follow-up

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree

• Active PA and NJ optometry licenses (or eligibility)

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience; geriatric or mobile care experience preferred

• Strong diagnostic skills in ocular disease management

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
