Controller

We’re partnering with a $300M private equity-backed healthcare services organization to hire a Controller for its growing corporate finance team in the Franklin/Brentwood area.

This is a true, hands-on Controller seat reporting into senior finance leadership, with the opportunity to own the accounting function and play a major role in building out and modernizing the company’s finance infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close

- Lead revenue recognition and technical accounting, including ASC 606 and ASC 842

- Oversee multi-entity accounting and consolidated financial reporting

- Manage the annual audit and external auditor relationships

- Lead and develop the accounting team

- Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

- Drive accounting process, systems, controls, and reporting improvements

- Support M&A and acquisition integration activities

- Help centralize and scale the accounting organization

Ideal Background:

- Healthcare accounting experience required

- Prior Controller-level experience with a strong hands-on accounting foundation

- Strong GAAP, revenue recognition, close, and audit experience

- Experience managing and developing accounting teams

- Healthcare revenue cycle / reimbursement exposure strongly preferred

- EMS/ambulance experience would be particularly attractive

- Public accounting + industry experience is a plus

- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is highly desirable

Location: Franklin / Brentwood, TN

Schedule: Approximately 4 days per week in office
