Captain

Our client is seeking an experienced MultiCat Captain to oversee the safe and efficient operation of a MultiCat vessel supporting dredging projects. This is a full-time opportunity for a strong maritime leader with extensive workboat experience and a commitment to safety, compliance, and crew management. Key Responsibilities Oversee the safe operation of the MultiCat vessel and onboard crew. Manage vessel navigation, docking, and maneuvering in challenging waterways. Supervise crane operations, cargo transfers, fuel transfers, and dredging support activities. Coordinate anchor handling, dredge pipe work, towing, and transport of materials and equipment. Ensure the vessel, machinery, and safety equipment are properly maintained and inspected. Lead crew training, safety drills, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and HSE initiatives. Maintain vessel logs, certifications, inspections, and regulatory compliance. Coordinate with project management, vessel management, and shore-based teams. Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience as a Captain on a work vessel . Experience supporting dredging, towing, or marine construction operations is highly preferred. Strong leadership and crew management skills. Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities. Must maintain all required licenses and certifications to operate the vessel. Willing to work away from home for 21-day rotations in remote project locations.
