Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Sunday–Saturday | Weekend and holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting
• Work night shifts on a rotating Sunday–Saturday schedule, including a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week cycle and at least one holiday
• Float to like units or lower-acuity units across multiple campuses within the health system as needed, excluding the Emergency Department
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health record system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license in hand at time of submittal (Temporary or Permanent; no EMSA)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1.5 years of continuous experience in CVICU or equivalent specialty
• EPIC or combined EPIC/Cerner experience within the last 6 months of work history

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 1 year of total travel nursing experience, with at least 6 months of continuous travel experience leading up to submittal
• Experience floating to ICU, SDU, or Telemetry units at or below current skillset
• Familiarity with high-acuity cardiovascular patient populations and associated monitoring
