Title
Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

Schedule
Shift: Nights 1900-0700
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Available to work every other holiday, if needed

Requirements
- Active New York single-state RN license required (not compact).
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (please include NIHSS on submission if available).
- Minimum experience: 1 year in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting.
- EMR: EPIC charting experience required.
- Core clinical skills:
- IV therapy / phlebotomy; peripheral line care/management; blood product administration
- Cardiac monitoring; dysrhythmia interpretation & management; rapid response/code team participation
- Oxygen/airway support (nasal cannula, non-invasive airway, oxygen tanks)
- Wound care / wound VAC
- Infection isolation precautions

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and support for individuals in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other clinical indicators.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Participate in rapid response teams and emergency interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on their health conditions and care plans.

Compliance / Notes
- Client may cancel (call off) up to 3 shifts during a 13-week contract.
- Return-staff policy: 1 year for previous travelers.
- COVID-19 vaccine: Not required.
