About the Team

The ClickPipes Platform plays a critical role in driving the growth of our company and ensuring the success of our clients by seamlessly onboarding and integrating data from diverse data sources into ClickHouse. Working at a petabyte scale and in high-velocity environments, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to solve challenging technical problems, operate with significant autonomy, and make a measurable impact.

We are looking for exceptional backend engineers who can work across a variety of technologies, with deep expertise in Kubernetes, distributed systems, cloud services, and platform reliability. As a member of this team, you'll collaborate cross-functionally to build and maintain the robust infrastructure powering ClickPipes. This role is ideal for individuals who are capable of working independently, taking initiative, and driving projects forward with a high level of autonomy.

What will you do?

• Enhance and scale our high-performance data onboarding platform to handle increasing volumes of data in real-time.


• Own and evolve our infrastructure across multiple cloud providers (AWS, with expansion to GCP and Azure).


• Drive improvements to our deployment pipelines, infrastructure automation, and operational processes.


• Drive technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions that impact our platform's scalability and resilience.


• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability and respond to production incidents.


• Continuously improve our systems based on operational metrics, customer feedback, and evolving business requirements.

About you:

• Experience : 5+ years of industry experience building as a backend engineer.


• Expertise : Golang, Kubernetes, Terraform (or comparable IaC tool), cloud-native architecture and solid knowledge of at least one major cloud service provider.


• Customer Focus: Have a deep commitment to understanding and addressing customer needs. Use customer feedback and insights to inform and improve product development.


• Collaboration : Excellent communication skills and a track record of working effectively across teams.


• Problem Solver : Exceptional production debugging skills, with the ability to navigate and solve complex technical issues in fast-paced environments.


• High Autonomy : Thrives in a high-velocity setting with significant ownership and autonomy.


• Mindset : A founder’s mindset with a focus on impact, innovation, and delivering measurable results.

The typical starting salary for this role in the US is

$164,000 - $214,000 USD

The typical starting salary for this role in US Premium Markets is

$183,000 - $238,000 USD

Compensation

For roles based in the  United States , t he typical starting salary range for this position is listed above. In certain locations, such as the San Francisco Bay Area and the New York City Metro Area, a premium market range may apply, as listed.

These salary ranges reflect what we reasonably and in good faith believe to be the minimum and maximum pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation may be higher or lower than the amounts listed, and the ranges may be subject to future adjustments.

An individual’s placement within the range will depend on various factors, including (but not limited to) education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, location, performance, and the needs of the business or organization.
