Inventory Planner (WHL)

Description The Inventory Planner is responsible for managing and optimizing inventory levels to meet customer demands while minimizing costs, ensuring efficient supply chain operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan inventory for assigned product lines, including forecasting, setting replenishment criteria, purchasing, and distributing inventory through the service center network. Set up new items including bills of material and the warehouse management system. Work with the service center teams to troubleshoot inventory, picking, and receiving issues. Expedite with suppliers and manufacturing sites; collaborate with manufacturing sites to optimize the replenishment process. Support the customer service team to meet customer needs. Work with the sales team on stocking programs, product introductions, and product end‑of‑life. Other tasks/functions as assigned. Requirements Minimum 5 years of pertinent work experience (supply chain and logistics preferred) Bachelor’s degree required ASCM Certification preferred Strong planning and organizational skills with an ability to handle a multitude of tasks. Self‑motivated to learn with a desire and talent to advance professionally. Strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills. High standards of integrity required. Willing to travel as needed. Proficient in MS Excel. ERP experience required; QAD experience is a major plus.
