Electrical EngineerWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead our Electrical Engineering Team. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including new builds, adaptive reuse, and renovations. The role primarily involves low and standard voltage projects across various sectors such as higher education, municipal, industrial, multi-family, and healthcare. A significant part of our work includes historical building adaptive reuse, which we take great pride in.ResponsibilitiesCalculate Voltage Drop: Ensure electrical systems maintain proper voltage levels throughout the distribution network.Calculate Conduit Fill: Determine the appropriate size and fill capacity of conduits to ensure safe and efficient cable management.Perform Lighting Design: Develop lighting plans that meet aesthetic, functional, and energy efficiency requirements.Power Generation Design: Design systems for generating electrical power, including renewable energy sources.Converge Systems with Utilities: Coordinate and integrate electrical systems with local utility providers to ensure compliance and reliability.Create Single Phase and Three Phase Drawings: Develop detailed electrical drawings for both single-phase and three-phase power systems.Design Low Voltage Cable or Fiber Lines: Plan and design low voltage and fiber optic cabling systems for data and communication networks.Manage Projects and Deliverables: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.Handle Client and Internal Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients and internal teams to ensure project requirements and expectations are met.Essential SkillsBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)Ability to obtain EIT and PE licenses3+ years of experience in the building electrical engineering fieldAdditional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in RevitAbility to stamp and potentially lead the electrical teamWork EnvironmentLocated in Fort Wayne, Indiana, our office is modern, clean, and comfortably temperate. The atmosphere is relatively quiet, providing an ideal environment for focused work. Business casual attire is expected, allowing for polos and jeans. The workweek is typically Monday through Friday, with hours from 7/8 am to 4/5 pm, totaling 40 hours. Some overtime may be required on an as-needed basis. The position involves over 90% office work with occasional site visits.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.25 - $45.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
