# Job Opportunity – Pediatric Medical/Surgical Nurse – Houston, Texas**Start Date:** August 2026 **Location:** Houston, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Day and night shifts available; 4 weekend days every 4 weeks; no call required**Highlights:** - Patient ratios: 4:1 for medical/surgical patients on 14-22 bed unit- Typical patient mix includes cleft palate repair, appendectomy, chest tube management, lumbar punctures, seizure management, and thoracic cases- Services include neurology, orthopedics, general surgery, and noninvasive cardiology- EMR system: Meditech- Team-focused, collaborative environment where every staff member supports one another- May float to NICU Level 1 or 2 only**Requirements:** - Active Texas RN license or compact state license- BLS certification (required)- PALS certification (required)- ACLS certification (preferred)- Pediatric medical/surgical nursing experience preferred**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This role offers the chance to work with a diverse pediatric patient population in a supportive, team-oriented environment where collaboration is valued.
