RN - PACU

RN - PACU

The registered nurse provides individualized nursing care based on knowledge of basic competencies in the fundamentals of peri-anesthesia nursing and pharmacology using the nursing process applied to geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients from admission through discharge. This position requires knowledge of peri-anesthesia standards of care, airway management, nursing assessment parameters, and pharmacology, including doses, purpose, interactions, side effects, and reactions to medications.

Requirements:

  • BLS (AHA)
  • CA RN Licensure
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • 2 years PACU RN Experience Required, preferably in a high acute care hospital, ICU required
  • extensive cardiac/cath Lab experience preferred

Shift: 4 x 10 days 9a - 12:30p start times; no weekends. Float required to other CPMC campuses if needed and census permits.

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS

Compliance: Onboarding: Must complete labs within 3-5 days of contract signing Work History Verification: 7-Year Work History Verification Required for all candidates. An average of 1-5 hours spent on modules and are factored into NBO. Any time spent on modules exceeding the 16 NBO hours are billable Modules are completed during orientation, and module hours vary by specialty Modules are recorded through e-learning
