• Locum tenens opportunity supporting a hospital system in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
• Seeking a Nuclear Medicine Physician for remote reading coverage
• Minimum commitment of 8 shifts per month
• Schedule: 7:30 a.m.4:30 p.m.
• Specific coverage dates coordinated in advance based on site needs and physician availability
• Provide interpretation of general Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT studies across multiple hospital sites
• Expected volume: approximately 30 studies per shift, including approximately 2530 general Nuclear Medicine studies
• General Nuclear Medicine studies include:
• Bone scans
• Renal scans
• Lung scans
• HIDA scans
• Parathyroid scans
• Must be available during scheduled shifts for direct phone and pager calls regarding orders, scan checks, and interpretations
• Approximately 810 calls per day related to orders and scan checks
• Consult with referring providers and support technologists and clinical staff remotely
• Optional call coverage available; not required
• Physicians interested in call would cover 7-day blocks, with approximately 35 calls per week
• Broad specialty and radiology subspecialty support available within the hospital network
• EMR: Epic
