Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced, high-risk perinatal environment. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery unit.
• Conduct assessments and develop care plans for mothers and newborns.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs during labor.
• Assist in the delivery process and perform necessary interventions.
• Support patients in postpartum recovery and education.
• Float as needed to the postpartum unit.
• Participate in triage and manage multiple patient admissions and care.

Unit Information:

• High-risk perinatal care environment with Level III designation.
• 19 labor and delivery beds, 10 antepartum beds, and 30 postpartum beds.
• 3 Operating Rooms and 2 Post-Anesthesia Care Units (PACU).
• 7-bay triage area staffed with skilled Registered Nurses.
• Commitment to a staffing model of 1:1 in labor and 1:3 couplets in postpartum with CNA support.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Current certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring.
• Experience in facilities with a high volume of deliveries is preferred.
• Ability to work weekends and float as required.
• Locals are not accepted for this position.

Work Environment:

• Type of Facility: Level II Trauma Center.
• Total staffed beds: 571 across multiple locations.
• Charting system: EPIC.
