General managers create strategies, lead teams and ensure compliance of standards and policies. A successful General Manager is a thoughtful leader, strategic decision maker, aids the team in their development and productivity while ensuring the business remains healthy and profitable. Salary: $54,000 - $58,000 annually. Restaurant General Manager is generally a full time opportunity and offer excellent benefits. Responsibilities Manages and oversees the entire restaurant operation, ensuring all operations follow brand and company standards. Delivers exceptional guest satisfaction and empowers the restaurant team to be effective in guest recovery. Ensures service and cleanliness requirements follow the operations manual for a pleasant environment. Ensures execution of new menu items meet brand standards, including product ordering, team training, placement of marketing materials and quality control. Ensures cleanliness, maintenance and safety protocols are followed according to the standards. Analyzes competitors and local opportunities, actively seeking catering and community involvement opportunities. Maintains appropriate inventory levels and conducts daily and weekly inventory counts. Ensures all safety programs are followed for crew members and guests, reporting incidents in a detailed and quick manner. Directly supervises Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and all crew level team members; holds the team accountable and motivates them to achieve goals and standards. Coaches, counsels, disciplines and develops all restaurant personnel, providing regular feedback and recognizing achievements. Recruits, interviews and hires personnel for the restaurant and maintains a fully staffed unit with proper training and development. Promotes and develops management team members, achieving at least one promotion every six months. Manages personnel file administration, including employee records, performance reviews, disciplinary documents and time‑keeping adjustments. Handles all company funds and assets, including cash, inventory, equipment and tablets. Implements and innovates sales growth plans. Maintains the restaurant’s profitability by controlling costs such as labor, food, packaging, operations supplies, utilities and repairs. Ensures the restaurant meets or exceeds brand score expectations in food safety and guest service metrics. Physical Requirements Must have high mobility and flexibility; required to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach. Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs. Must stand and walk extensively during duties. Must handle exposure to heat, cold, steam and smoke. Qualifications Minimum of one year experience in restaurant management. Ability to speak, read and write effectively in English; second language is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. ServSafe certification is required.
