Kidsville Junction Childcare and Preschool is looking for a caring, energetic, and dependable Before & After School Teacher to join our team!

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with school-age children and can create a fun, structured environment before and after the school day. The ideal candidate will be comfortable supervising children, leading engaging activities, and following or developing age-appropriate lesson plans that encourage learning, creativity, and social development.

Pay

$15.00–$18.00 per hour , depending on education, qualifications, and experience.

What You'll Do

• Provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for school-age children before and after school.
• Lead age-appropriate educational activities, games, crafts, and enrichment programs.
• Develop and/or implement engaging lesson plans that support children's academic, social, emotional, and creative development.
• Keep children actively engaged through structured activities and supervised free play.
• Assist children with homework, reading, and other age-appropriate schoolwork.
• Maintain positive classroom management and establish clear expectations and routines.
• Build positive relationships with children and serve as a positive role model.
• Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding children's daily activities and needs.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to provide a consistent experience for children.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
• Follow all childcare, health, safety, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience working with children preferred.
• Experience working in a childcare, preschool, school, camp, or educational setting is a plus.
• Ability to lead activities and follow or create age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Patient, dependable, energetic, and comfortable working with school-age children.
• Pennsylvania State Child Abuse Clearance.
• Pennsylvania State Criminal Background Clearance.
• FBI Clearance.
• National Sex Offender Registry Clearance.
• Ability to successfully meet all Pennsylvania childcare and employment requirements.
• Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related degree/certification is a plus.
