We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Services Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care through comprehensive nursing processes including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves active coordination of patient education and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care tailored to patients' assessed needs using the nursing process.
• Assess and document patients' physical, psychological, spiritual, and social conditions upon admission.
• Set treatment priorities based on medical and nursing diagnoses.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized interdisciplinary care plans involving patients and their families.
• Utilize available resources and consult with physicians, supervisors, and interdisciplinary teams as needed.
• Continuously reassess and document patient status and responses to interventions.
• Recognize patient complications through assessment and take appropriate actions.
• Administer medications and IV therapy safely, documenting all interventions.
• Plan for discharge needs from admission through hospitalization, coordinating with the care team and family.

Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current Registered Nurse licensure valid in the applicable state.
• Preferably two years of experience in surgical services.

Requirements

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per American Heart Association standards.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required within one year of hire.
• Completion of Mandatory Reporter training at hire or within six months.
• Compliance with all federal, state, and professional licensure and regulatory training requirements.
• Availability for on-call duties with a response time of 20 minutes.
