Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and a thorough understanding of Soft Tissue Management. This role is essential in promoting oral health and providing exceptional care to our patients, including children and adults. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with dentists and other dental professionals to ensure the highest standards of care are met.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, focusing on both preventative and therapeutic care.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, including proper brushing and flossing techniques.
- Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases by conducting thorough examinations and taking X-rays as necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, documenting treatment plans and progress.
- Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans that address individual patient needs.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology, terminology, and practices related to general dentistry.
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control systems.
- Experience with Dentrix.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
- Working with a Hygiene Assistant.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to industry standards.
