Payroll Administrator (Hybrid-Toronto) or (Hybrid- US)

About the Opportunity We’re looking for a Payroll Administrator with a passion for learning, a kind heart, a positive attitude, and a great sense of humor to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing and processing employee payroll accurately and on time. It ensures compliance with company policies, labor laws, and tax regulations while maintaining confidential employee payroll information. Key Responsibilities Process end‑to‑end payroll for both US and Canadian employees in accordance with company policies and statutory regulations. Collect, verify, and input payroll data including attendance, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions. Maintain and update payroll records, employee compensation details, and tax information. Ensure compliance with government payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor requirements. Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and financial summaries for management and auditors. Handle payroll inquiries and resolve employee payroll discrepancies in a timely manner. Coordinate with HR and Finance teams regarding employee changes such as new hires, resignations, promotions, and salary adjustments. Manage statutory contributions such as social security, tax deductions, and benefits administration. Support payroll audits and ensure accurate record keeping. Maintain confidentiality of employee and company payroll data. Critical Skills/Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field. Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role. Strong knowledge of payroll systems and software. Good understanding of labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory compliance. Strong numerical and analytical skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Compensation In the spirit of transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for this position is $50,000K – $80,000K CAD or $70,000K – $90,000K USD exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at ClearGov, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, interview performance, education, and/or experience.
