Building Engineer
Pay Rate: $22-23/HR on W2 Hours: M-F 8am - 4:30pm Location: 300 Crosspoint Pkwy, Getzville NY
Overview of Work Environment/Client Nuances: This is an office building with commercial grade cooling system
Team Overview: Work will be done independently and as part of a team
Resource's typical working day: Lot of mechanical PM's Event set-ups Building rounds Painting/patching Light plumbing General maintenance
Licenses/Certifications: Any HVAC or electrical certifications would be a plus
Must Have Skills: Good mechanical skills General carpentry skills Basic electrical skills Basic plumbing skills General HVAC skills
Nice to have skills: Great mechanical aptitude
Soft Skills: Good teamwork Customer service skills
Years of Experience: 5+ years Education H.S. Diploma or GED Software skills: CMMS experience Basic computer skills
Interview Process: 1st round in-person with H.M., 2nd round virtual with client
About the Role: As a Building Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and repairing building system operations and the performance of various areas including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
