Location 12700 PUMARRA RD,Banning, CA, 92220-6977,United States Base Pay $28.00 - $30.59 / Hour Job Category Culture, History Employee Type Full Time Non-Exempt Required Degree High school Contact information Name Human Resources Phone View phone number on click.appcast.io Email View email address on click.appcast.io Description Under the direction of the Tribal Historic Preservation Officer (THPO), the Cultural Resources Analyst’s primary responsibilities include responding to requests for tribal consultation, assisting with artifact analysis, archaeological fieldwork, data entry, and other duties as assigned. The Cultural Resources Analyst may be required to perform cultural monitoring activities and assist the THPO with all other needed tasks. Represent the Tribe and its Members’ interests on the Reservation and beyond, including participation in environmental reviews under CEQA and NEPA including Section 106, and ARPA; Maintain a Reservation-wide inventory, a Traditional Use Area database, and Morongo Band of Mission Indians Historic Register; Work with Tribal Council and Members in protecting and maintaining a Tribal Registry for the protection of culturally sensitive sites; Work in nominating properties to the National Register; Assist in educational and public outreach for cultural preservation awareness. Assist with project reviews; Assist in environmental reviews under CEQA, AB 52, and SB 18 consultations; Assist with NAGPRA consultations; Requirements Bachelor’s degree in anthropology, archaeology, historic preservation or a related field, preferred; 1-2 years of field experience is preferred; Maintain a current insurable driver’s license & insurability on company policy; Understanding of archaeological field, research methods; Familiarity with Federal laws, state laws and regulations that govern historic preservation and environmental requirements; Excellent writing and verbal skills; Understanding of the Microsoft suite (i.e. Word, Adobe, Access) Understanding of USGS Quad maps Excellent time management skills and work ethic; Ability to interact and communicate effectively; Familiarity with ArcGIS is helpful; Ability to conduct fieldwork in extreme weather.
