We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong machining experience and be capable of setting up and operating CNC and/or conventional machine tools, reading technical drawings, selecting appropriate tooling, and producing quality parts to exact specifications.

The successful candidate should be able to work independently, troubleshoot machining problems, and take pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

•Set up and operate CNC and conventional machine tools as required.

•Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.

•Select appropriate cutting tools, workholding, speeds, feeds, and machining methods.

•Perform machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and adjustments.

•Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, and other inspection tools.

•Verify dimensions and tolerances throughout the machining process.

•Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and equipment issues.

•Make necessary adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensional accuracy.

•Perform deburring, finishing, and other secondary operations as required.

•Maintain accurate production and inspection records.

•Follow established quality-control procedures and work instructions.

•Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

•Properly maintain and care for machines, tooling, and measuring equipment.

•Work efficiently to meet production schedules and customer requirements.

•Communicate effectively with supervisors and other members of the shop regarding jobs, tooling, quality, and production issues.

•Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

•3+ years of professional machining experience preferred.

•Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

•Knowledge of GD&T and machining tolerances.

•Experience with precision measuring and inspection equipment.

•Ability to perform machine setups with minimal supervision.

•Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, speeds, and feeds.

•Ability to troubleshoot machining and quality issues.

•Experience with CNC machining is preferred; conventional machining experience is a plus.

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

•Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

•Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

•Ability to safely lift and handle materials and perform the physical requirements of the position.

Preferred Skills

•CNC mill and/or CNC lathe experience.

•Manual mill and lathe experience.

•Experience with tight-tolerance machining.

•Experience working with steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other common materials.

•Familiarity with CNC programming or editing programs at the machine.

•Experience with CAM software is a plus.

•Experience with first-piece inspection and in-process inspection.

•Familiarity with ISO/quality-control procedures is a plus.
