Seasonal CDL Driver

Transport product from Smith Gardens facilities to customer, maintaining quality product,timely delivery, accurate paperwork and safe driving. Transports materials inter-company asneeded. May drive solo or as part of a team. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Maintain vehicle, timely reporting of maintenance issues. Perform pre and post trip inspections of vehicles. Keep accurate records of deliveries, inventories, discrepancies, hours, and miles. Communicate with facilities any issues. Pick up racks, misc. products/supplies and transport as requested. Follow DOT regulations, complete paperwork accurately. Represent Smith Gardens with a cooperative, positive and professional attitude. COMPETENCIES Ability to drive in rain and snow. Ability to handle vehicle in congested areas. Ability to read maps and follow directions. Ability to use electronic logs. Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Previous experience working with Class A or B license a plus. Current DOT medical card. Current Class A CDL Must pass a road test, drug screen, employer check, and a motor vehicle report. Must be able to drive inter-state. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Work weekends and longer hours during peak seasons. Work as part of a driving team. Unload truck at customer sites. Able to push/pull rolling racks. Break down and load racks at customer sites. Secure loads with load bars and/or straps. Safely operate a lift gate. PAY RANGE $25.50 - $27.50/hr.
