Job Description: Scheduling Pain Management Procedures We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our healthcare team as a Scheduler for Pain Management Procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling patient appointments for various pain management treatments, ensuring efficient use of clinical resources and providing excellent patient service. Key Responsibilities Schedule pain management procedures and follow-up appointments accurately and efficiently. Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to confirm procedure availability and patient eligibility. Communicate with patients to explain appointment details, preparation instructions, and answer scheduling-related questions. Maintain and update patient scheduling records in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations prior to scheduling procedures. Manage cancellations, rescheduling, and waitlists to optimize clinic workflow. Collaborate with billing and administrative teams to ensure accurate documentation and billing information. Assist in maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus. Previous experience in medical scheduling, preferably in pain management or related specialties. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism. Basic knowledge of insurance processes and medical terminology. This position typically operates in a clinical office setting.
