We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Medical Assistant to support our very busy Mohs surgical team in delivering exceptional patient care. This is a unique, highly hands-on role in a fastpaced surgical environment. The ideal candidate will assist before, during, and after procedures, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and help ensure a safe, efficient, and patientcentered clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgical procedures, including room setup, equipment preparation, and patient positioning
• Assist surgeons and clinical staff during minor and outpatient Mohs surgical procedures
• Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure proper handling of surgical instruments
• Provide preoperative and postoperative patient care, including wound care and patient education
• Obtain, record, and document vital signs and medical histories
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Ensure exam rooms and procedure areas are clean, stocked, and compliant with infectioncontrol standards
• Accurately and timely document clinical information in the electronic health record (EHR)

Summary:
The Medical Assistant (MA) role is assigned duties and responsibilities related to patient care and administrative support in a team-based environment while promoting a smooth flow of patients through the office. The Medical Assistant MA functions under the license of the physician/advanced practice practitioner when performing clinical and other patient care responsibilities.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
2. License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NREMT certification preferred. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
3. Experience: Relevant experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
