As a Security Officer Full Time Access Verification in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and assist tenants, visitors, and employees with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use technology to document security-related activity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial office building interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, loading docks, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and building conditions; report maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Support a professional, welcoming environment while assisting with directions, tenant and visitor inquiries, and other security-related needs at the property.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
