Customer Support Technician

This position is responsible for maintaining effective customer support by providing service to all company machinery at a customer's location under limited supervision at Company. Core operating principles include: customer-first ownership, easy to do business with, no customer left behind, one company teamwork, accountability and follow-through, adaptability and commitment to team success.

Essential duties and responsibilities include mentoring and coaching junior technicians, being proficient on all product lines, providing remote technical support, diagnosing and troubleshooting machinery malfunctions, executing installs, repairs, inspections, setups, and tests on two machine product lines, dismantling defective components, installing, adjusting, and testing new or repaired parts, cleaning and lubricating machinery parts, installing and repairing electrical and electronic components, installing and repairing hydraulic, coolant, or pneumatic systems, returning parts with correct paperwork and packaging, submitting service paperwork and expenses weekly, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and adhering to all customer and company specified safety requirements.

Qualifications include an associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in electronics, hydraulics, or other mechanical-related field, and 5+ years of related experience and/or training. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment where field service skills were essential is required. Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups is also required. A valid driver's license is required for this position.
