As a Strategic Designer at Other Tomorrows, you will help imagine and create new experiences, products, and brands that make a meaningful impact. You’ll blend creative storytelling with systems thinking—moving fluidly between research, strategy, and design. What You’ll be Doing Collaborate with strategists, designers, developers, and client partners to design and develop strategies based on human insights Design compelling brand expressions, UI/UX systems, and experiences that bring strategic thinking to life Support research activities—helping plan, conduct, and synthesize findings into actionable opportunities Create and communicate ideas through strong visual, verbal, and experiential storytelling; balance creative ambition with feasibility, timelines, and client goals Contribute to multiple concurrent projects, adapting to shifting priorities and collaborating across teams Participate in client meetings and workshops, helping communicate insights and ideas clearly and effectively Stay curious—bringing awareness of trends in design, culture, and technology that push our work forward Your Experience 3–5 years of full‑time professional experience working in an agency or consulting setting spanning brand, product, or service design Strong portfolio demonstrating excellent design skills and design decisions grounded in research and insights Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and related platforms for visual and experience design Understanding of and experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills (visual and verbal) Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team Attention to detail and command of the nuances of the English language Currently based in or willing to relocate to the Boston area to work in person 3+ days per week (Other Tomorrows is a hybrid remote/in‑person studio) Authorized to work in the United States and open to travel for research and client engagements

SALARY & LEVEL

Other Tomorrows utilizes clear salary bands and tiers based on experience, expectations, and responsibilities. We strive to be transparent about these bands to avoid bias during hiring and promotions. The team will happily explain more about these tiers and associated expectations during the interview process. Please note: Salary ranges below reflect base salary. Total compensation includes base salary plus benefits. This role is for a level 2 or level 3 practitioner. Level Two: Designer – Base Salary Band: $85,000–$100,000 Level Three: Senior Designer – Base Salary Band: $100,000–$115,000
