Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Temporary Accountant to support a busy finance department. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working with financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and general ledger activities. The Accountant will provide accounting and administrative support while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of financial processes.

Job Duties:

May include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist with budget preparation and financial planning activities
• Prepare and maintain actual and budget ledgers
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and journal entries
• Assist with financial reporting and account analysis
• Support work order tracking, documentation, and processing
• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial files
• Conduct financial research and analysis as assigned
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Collaborate with leadership and internal departments regarding financial information
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required
• Minimum of four (4) years of progressive accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with budgeting, reconciliations, and general ledger functions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to pass a criminal background check

Hours/Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Pay: $38.70-$45.48/hour DOE
