This opportunity involves call coverage for up to 7 days per month, with scheduled hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and beeper call coverage for the rest of the 24-hour shift, including evenings and weekends. The position starts in November, contingent on credentialing and privileging completion, and requires an active Florida license.

Job Responsibilities
\n - Provide surgical care including laparoscopic, vascular, obstetric & gynecologic, and plastic surgeries.
\n - Maintain a high level of expertise in surgical procedures (e.g., appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty).
\n - Deliver on-call coverage from home after regular hours, including weekends.

Qualifications
\n - Active Florida medical license required.
\n - Board certification in Surgery is mandatory.
\n - Proficient in advanced life support certifications (ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS).
\n - Extensive experience in general surgery and related procedures required.

Working Hours
\n - Scheduled days: Up to 7 days per month
\n - Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM with after-hours call coverage

Skills
\n - Comprehensive surgical skills in both adult and pediatric patients.
\n - Specialized skills in head/neck, breast, minor orthopedic, and hand surgeries.
\n - Proficiency in managing ventilation, central line and chest tube insertions, and PA catheter placements.
\n - Experience with abdominal and thoracic aneurysm repairs and arterial bypass surgeries.
\n - Laser certification required for various procedures.
