The Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions. You will establish metrics, provide data analyses, and work directly to support business intelligence. You will evaluate industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium and long-term financial and competitive position. You will work on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. You will report to the Director, Actuarial Analytics/Forecasting and will have no direct reports in this role.

The Value-Based Care Infrastructure Actuary will play a crucial role in supporting the design, implementation, and management of vended complex value-based care initiatives. You will focus on contracting, implementation, data analysis, and actuarial modeling of value-based care performance expectations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals in value-based care.

The Actuary, Analytics/Forecasting ensures data integrity by developing and executing necessary processes and controls around the flow of data. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs/issues, troubleshoot problems, conduct root cause analysis, and develop cost effective resolutions for data anomalies. You will advise leaders to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. You will make decisions on complex issues regarding job responsibilities and related tasks. You will analyze variable factors to determine the best course of action.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree

• FSA or ASA plus relevant advanced degree, recent and relevant work experience, and/or other relevant professional designations

• MAAA

• Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas effectively in both written and oral forms

• Experience in more than two functions (e.g., modeling, pricing, rate filing, reporting & analysis, reserving or trending)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with complex value-based arrangements

• Experience with opportunity analysis

• Experience in modeling forecasting scenarios

• Strong collaborative background

• Experience in communicating highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences

This is a remote position.

Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$129,300 - $177,800 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
