Accounting Specialist Intern/Temp

Meyn America , a global leader in poultry processing technology, is seeking an Accounting Specialist Intern/Temporary Associate to support our Accounts Receivable and Collections team. This approximately six-month assignment offers valuable exposure to accounting operations, financial processes, and ERP systems, with the potential to transition into a full-time position for candidates interested in relocating to the Westminster, SC area. What You Will Do Assist with customer invoicing and invoice entry into customer portals. Support accounts receivable collections activities and follow up on outstanding customer balances. Help review and process cash receipts, including checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers. Assist with accounts receivable reporting and balance sheet reconciliations. Investigate billing inquiries and support the resolution of customer account discrepancies. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation. Provide support during month-end close activities and audit preparation. Collaborate with accounting, sales, and operations teams to ensure efficient financial processes. What You Bring Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to take initiative. Interest in developing a long-term career in accounting and finance.
