Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel - Surg Tech - Pediatric OR


Shift: Nights / 6:45p-7:15a, 12x3, 36hrs per week


Length: 13 weeks

Weekend rotation: Unlikely but could be assigned a weekend shift if Weekend Staff are off. Typically, only call on weekend
On call Yes. Approximately 2 weeknights (7p-7a) and 1 weekend (1900 F - 0700 M) every 6 weeks. 30-minute response time


Requirements:

• 2+ years acute OR experience
• If candidate only has 2 years OR experience, must be high-level experience
• Willing to consider candidate with adults + peds experience
• BLS
• Certification is not required however candidates must register with the state to work in the state
• Skills required: Highly preferred - Robotics, high-level neuro, eyes, dental (send for manager approval if missing these skills). Scrubbing above case types

• EMR: EPIC
• Floating: If yes, where? PICU here to assist with procedure, NICU
• Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
• Level IV NICU
• First-time traveler? No, unless extensive OR and Peds experience (5+ years)
• Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Neonates - 18; will see adult sized patients as well as infants and everything in between. Could see patients who are developmentally delayed and/or have congenital anomalies. Peds traumas - MVAs, GSWs, shaken baby. Neurosurgery - Cranies, EVDs, shunts. Spine - scoliosis repairs, spinal injuries. Urology - hyper/hypospadias repair, orchiopexy, orchiectomy, inguinal hernias. GYN - ovarian torsion, ovarian cyst, endometriosis lesions, IUD placements . Ortho - pinnings, ACL repairs, arthroscopies, hip osteotomies. Oncology - general, tumor resections. ENT - T/As, PE tubes, trachs. General - GI related surgeries (lap/open appies, lap/open cholies), other general cases. Dental cases (preferred). Ophthalmology (preferred) - strabismus repairs. Robotics (preferred) - DaVinci XI
