Position Description

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials. This role leads a team of warehouse personnel and works closely with Production, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Logistics to ensure material availability, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who promotes a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse team members to achieve safety, quality, and productivity objectives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and warehouse procedures.
• Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counting, audits, and effective inventory management practices.
• Coordinate the timely movement of materials to support production requirements and customer deliveries.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipment issues, and operational challenges.
• Optimize warehouse space utilization, material flow, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records and transactions within the ERP/WMS system.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost reduction, and operational performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare reports and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including inventory accuracy, on-time shipments, and productivity metrics.

Required Education & Qualifications

High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field is an asset. Minimum 3-5 years of warehouse experience within a manufacturing environment. Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and material handling processes. Experience using ERP and inventory management systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification. Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement initiatives is considered an asset. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
