Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients. \n
- Collaboratively develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. \n
- Utilize evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support clients on their therapeutic journeys. \n
- Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care practices. \n
- Monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changes and improvements. \n
- Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure holistic care for clients. \n
- Stay updated on the latest research and advances in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic effectiveness. \n
- Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards. \n
- Participate in ongoing case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities. \n
- Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and work to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues within the community. \n
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will primarily work with a diverse group of clients facing various mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will support individuals from different backgrounds, including families overcoming hardships like homelessness, trauma from domestic abuse, and the challenges faced by refugee populations. Your expertise will help guide these vulnerable populations toward healing and stability.
Qualifications\n- \n
- Current and active License as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New Jersey. \n
- A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field. \n
- Demonstrated ability to establish secure and trusting therapeutic relationships with clients through excellent communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- Exhibit empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude while addressing clients' experiences and struggles. \n
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to ensure effective management of treatment workloads and administrative responsibilities. \n
Ideal candidates will have prior experience working with clients experiencing mood disorders and will have demonstrated familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic methodologies. Experience advocating for clients in various contexts and conducting group therapy sessions will be advantageous. Additionally, knowledge of community resources available to support clients' recovery journeys will be beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits\nWe offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 90,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
