Position SummaryThe Quality Engineer ensures that products, processes, and systems meet defined standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This role drives continuous improvement, leads root-cause investigations, and partners closely with engineering, operations, and suppliers to prevent defects and optimize quality outcomes.Position DetailsLocation: On-siteWork Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday – Friday)Salary Range: $92,000 – $100,000 per year (commensurate with experience)Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes, procedures, and standards.Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and FMEA.Perform process capability studies, statistical analysis, and data-driven decision-making to improve product quality.Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability and quality are built into new products (PFMEA, control plans).Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with AS9100 or other relevant quality standards.Develop inspection criteria, test methods, and quality documentation.Support production teams with troubleshooting, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.Review specifications and customer requirements to ensure ERP systems meet all quality criteria, and handle concession requests.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as defect rates, yield, scrap, and customer complaints to drive action plans.Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve incoming material quality.Champion a strong culture of quality across the entire organization.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor 's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or a related field).2–5+ years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, or process engineering.Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (SPC, FMEA, MSA, control plans, Lean/Six Sigma).Experience with AS9100 or other quality management systems (QMS).Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, JMP, or similar).Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required due to government contract compliance.Preferred:Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and engineering drawings.Experience with supplier quality management.Hands-on experience working directly in a manufacturing environment.Key CompetenciesAnalytical mindset with strong attention to detail.Ability to lead root-cause investigations and influence cross-functional teams.Strong orientation toward continuous improvement.Exceptional organizational and documentation skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Why Join iWorkforce Solutions?Opportunity to shape and refine quality systems and processes.A collaborative, engineering-driven company culture.Abundant growth opportunities across quality, operations, and engineering streams.Competitive compensation ($92k–$138k) and comprehensive benefits package. Equal Opportunity StatementiWorkforce Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
