Sr Mechanical HVAC Engineer (Data Centers) Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States Responsibilities Layout and design HVAC systems for electric vehicles, data centers, and heavy industrial facilities. Develop design criteria covering general comfort, precise temperature/humidity control, pressurization requirements, and cleanliness for clean room applications. Create conceptual and preliminary design documents, including sizing and selection calculations, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P\&IDs), and general arrangements. Layout ductwork systems based on P\&IDs. Prepare final design documents with specifications, sequences of operation, piping layout, and construction drawings for systems such as chilled water and cooling water. Coordinate with other disciplines. Requirements Ten (10) or more years of HVAC system design experience. Professional Engineering License or the ability to obtain one within six months. In-depth knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design. Bachelor of Science in Engineering required; Mechanical preferred. Adaptability to fast‑paced team environments with multiple deadlines. Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate with other discipline teams remotely. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D. Design experience of plumbing/utility systems.
