Our organization is seeking to welcome a part-time Dermatologist to our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx . Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center, while North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. Both facilities are recognized leaders in various medical fields, including emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women's health.

Opportunity Details:

• Oversee residents in adult, pediatric, and/or surgical dermatology clinics.

• Deliver clinical care and provide hands-on instruction to residents and medical students.

• Conduct inpatient dermatology consultations.

• Primarily a clinical role with necessary involvement in hospital administrative responsibilities.

• Additional teaching and administrative tasks are available if desired.

• Schedule: 28 hours per week dedicated to clinic time, plus 4 hours of flexible administrative duties.

• Call Coverage: Home call coverage required for one month each year.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited residency program in Dermatology.

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology.

• Possession of a New York State Medical License.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $269,600* (for board eligible); $277,600* (for board certified), based on a 32-hour work week.

The estimated total annual compensation package is $328,560** (board eligible) and $337,360** (board certified), which encompasses the base salary, 401(k) contributions, and additional factors outlined below:

• Potential bonus of up to $32,000 (based on the previous year's average), contingent upon achieving quality and productivity goals.

• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS limits):

  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings, with no employee match required.

  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings, with no employee match required.

• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) reimbursement.

• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO) including vacation, sick leave, holidays, and CME days.

• Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Premium plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.

• Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) at no cost to you.

  • Additional voluntary Life and AD&D coverage options are available for you and your family.

• Loan Forgiveness: This position may qualify for loan forgiveness through specific state or federal programs.

• Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.

• Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).

• Pre-tax employee-paid contributions for commuting expenses.

• Visa sponsorship may be available for this role.
