As a Senior Tax Manager at Pinion, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, leading complex tax engagements while helping develop the next generation of professionals. - Review and oversee the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.
- Serve as the lead advisor on complex tax engagements for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other flow-through entities.
- Analyze client data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams, articulating complex tax concepts clearly and confidently.
- Mentor, coach, and develop managers, senior associates, and associates, providing technical guidance and career development support.
- Stay informed on current tax issues and agricultural industry trends to provide proactive advice.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or related field.
- 8+ years of public accounting experience.
- CPA license.
- Proven background in managing complex tax engagements and client relationships.
- Experience in tax return preparation and review across multiple entity types.
- Tax project leadership/management and supervisory experience.
- Digital fluency, including ability to learn and navigate CCH Axcess Tax.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify patterns and issues.
- Excellent communication skills for client and team interactions.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and relationship-building ability.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% annually.
