Position summary

Bill Hall & Associates is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our family law practice. Join a team where collaboration and professional growth come first. We offer a challenging yet supportive atmosphere for our legal assistants to work alongside attorneys, delivering high-level service in family law matters such as divorce, custody, and adoptions.

We are a well-respected boutique law firm dedicated to providing our clients with exceptional legal services in the area of family law.

Key responsibilities

  • Draft legal correspondence,
  • Prepare pleadings for filing and drafting certificates of service/mailing.
  • Prepare e-filings on Alafile
  • Maintain case files,
  • Mediation & Discovery preparation
  • Trial Preparation, including preparing trial exhibits;
  • Monitor county dockets,
  • Accurate calendaring of legal due dates and events relevant to the case.
  • Communicate with clients in a timely manner, providing excellent client service
  • Other support duties assigned by the attorney.

Qualifications and skills

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a paralegal required
  • Family law experience will be given a preference, but not required.
  • Litigation experience and Alafile / Alacourt knowledge
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently,
  • Must have excellent time management skills, be organized, and be able to multitask.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Must have proficient knowledge of computers,
  • Ability to transcribe legal documents accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate well with others.
  • Strong research skills with a solid understanding of family law principles.
  • Excellent proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with legal administrative tasks within a family law context a plus
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professional ethics and integrity.

Compensation and benefits-

Salary: Dependent on experience
