Position Purpose

Takes the lead in the district's recruitment and hiring function, ensuring positions are posted, candidate pipelines are managed, and hiring processes are coordinated consistently across the district. Supports schools and departments in attracting and hiring qualified candidates while maintaining an organized, responsive, and effective hiring experience.

This role is intended to provide clear ownership of the hiring pipeline, and operational ownership and execution discipline across the assigned elements of the department.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Hiring Process Leadership

1. Oversee the district's recruitment and hiring processes from request through onboarding handoff
2. Ensure hiring workflows are followed consistently across schools and departments
3. Manage position postings, candidate movement, and overall hiring process coordination
4. Support timely and organized movement of candidates through the hiring pipeline
5. Ensure hiring leaders understand where their role begins and ends within the hiring process
6. Support coordination of internal transfer and promotion processes, ensuring appropriate alignment where workforce planning or employee relations context is present
7. Oversee day-to-day HR functions, including employee services, leave and benefits administration, onboarding processing, employee records, data workflows, and operational support
8. Ensure HR processes are completed accurately, consistently, and on time
9. Monitor workload distribution and support clear ownership across operational anchor areas
10. Maintain visibility into service volume, workflow bottlenecks, and operational risk areas
11. Help ensure the HR personnel function as a coordinated operational unit rather than a collection of disconnected tasks.

Talent Pipeline & Recruiting Strategy

1. Support sourcing and recruiting efforts for district positions
2. Help identify strategies for hard-to-fill roles and priority staffing needs
3. Coordinate or support recruiting events, outreach efforts, and job fairs
4. Maintain visibility into hiring trends, vacancies, and recruiting needs across the district
5. Support cross-training and continuity planning across the HR Department
6. Ensure the team balances clear ownership with flexibility during peak periods and launch demands

Leader Support in Hiring

1. Support principals, supervisors, and department leaders throughout the hiring process
2. Help leaders navigate timelines, process steps, and candidate movement
3. Ensure leaders understand their role in interviews, selection, and final hiring decisions
4. Ensure HR workflows are followed consistently across the district
5. Oversee internal handoffs related to onboarding, employee changes, leave processing, records, employee service requests, and administrative support
6. Support timely completion of notices, forms, documentation, and recurring HR transactions

Leadership & Coordination

1. Ensure strong coordination with HR Department members, as needed
2. Support onboarding handoff and hiring-related internal communication
3. Help ensure the hiring process moves clearly from staffing need to employee start

Process Improvement & Candidate Experience

1. Help improve hiring systems, communication, and overall candidate experience
2. Identify workflow gaps, bottlenecks, or process improvements related to recruiting and hiring
3. Support a hiring experience that is clear, timely, and professional for candidates and leaders
4. Maintain visibility into HR records, system updates, administrative documentation, and process integrity
5. Ensure operational ownership of data accuracy, records quality, and routine reporting support
6. Help identify and resolve operational gaps, inefficiencies, or process bottlenecks
7. Support implementation of tools, tracking methods, and system improvements

Minimum Qualifications

1. 3+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR operations
2. Experience coordinating or managing hiring processes
3. 3+ years of experience in HR operations, HR administration, or process-oriented HR support
4. Experience coordinating or overseeing administrative workflows

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience in K 12 education, public sector hiring, or a multi-site organization
2. Experience supervising staff or leading recruitment efforts
3. Familiarity with hiring systems, applicant tracking, or position management workflows
