Join our team of seasoned professionals and become a part of the fabric of the New York food scene.Role and ResponsibilitiesThe maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the warehouse business goals and objectives.Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment within our warehouse.Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust.Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucksReports to work on at the provided schedule time, neatly groomed and in the complete uniform, and attends all departmental meetingsFollow department daily/weekly cleaning schedule of filters, degreasing, stoves, and various deep cleaning.In addition, other duties maybe required as directed by your team lead, supervisor, and/or manager.Minimum Requirements:2+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC.Experience with Welding, plumbing, refrigeration, cooking equipment, carpentry, and electricalBasic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.Experience using hand and electrical tools.Ability to safely handle and operate warehouse equipmentAbility to work in a team and independentlyBasic understanding of food safety practices (Quality control, Rotation, Etc.)Ability to physically perform requirements of position such as: standing, sitting, reaching, lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, pushing, and pulling items weighing 20-75 pounds for extended periods of time.The position requires manual dexterity, visual skills, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.Ability to read, write, and communicate using the English language enough to performs job functions, conduct business related mathematics, and analyze data as required.Ability to work within various temperature-controlled environment.Reporting to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in the complete uniform.Maintain a clean and safety work environment by following Citarella's standards.Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.Other duties may be assigned as business needs change.In Return, We Offer!Competitive Wages, Medical/Dental/Vision /Company sponsored life insurance benefits, Flexible Spending Accounts, Employee Discounts, Paid Time Off, 401k Retirement Savings Plan with Company Match!Citarella is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE)
