Electro-Mechanical AssemblersOur Kent, WA location at OMAX is currently recruiting full-time Electro-Mechanical Assemblers. Join our team today!Assemblers work (4) 10 hour day work schedules on either Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday from 5:00am - 3:30PM based on business demand.As an Electro-mechanical Assembler, you'll work as part of a team to perform a variety of tasks using standard processes, documentation, systems, and tools to assemble products using manual and power tools, fixtures, hoists, and precision measuring equipment.Assemble small to large electrical and mechanical components. Including routing wires, installing low voltage electrical and electronic components such as circuit boards, communication (CAT5) and power cables, terminal boxes, main control switch panels, and instrument panels to be used in higher-level assembliesInterpret bill of materials and read basic blueprints and schematics following written proceduresTroubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic/electrical operating systemsComplete assigned tasks with little supervisionQualifications:High School diploma or GED equivalent with experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment18 years or olderElectro-mechanical assembly experience preferred, including experience with Ohm/volt meters and measuring devices such as calipers and dial indicators, the ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics, and attention to detail and electro-mechanical troubleshootingExperience working with soldering and testing connectionsExperience working on larger electrical componentsBasic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to read instructions and use a tablet to navigate a material selection and pick parts needed for assemblyRelevant experience could also include electrical maintenance on vehicles, experience installing/repairing/troubleshooting electrical installations (wiring in a building, alarm systems, telecom, etc.)Commitment to teamwork, quality, and our ownership culturePreferred Experience:Experience with and exposure to 5S and Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principlesVocational or accredited certification within the electro-mechanical fieldPhysical Demands:Ability to work with required PPEAbility to lift up to 50lbsStand and walk for periods up to 10 hoursControl handheld torque and impact toolsRequires manual dexterity and repetitive motion activitiesWhy Hypertherm Associates?As one of the world's top waterjet manufacturers, OMAX is excited to join forces with Hypertherm Associates, a global 100% employee-owned industrial cutting solutions leader frequently awarded as a Best Place to Work company and celebrated for its culture of ownership and shared rewards.
