Accounting Specialist

Wabash is seeking a full-time, detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll support our daily financial operations through accounts payable, payroll processing, bank deposits, account reconciliations, and other general accounting responsibilities. Responsibilities include: Process and manage accounts payable Prepare and record bank deposits Post journal entries and assist with month‑end closing Reconcile general ledger accounts Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Process payroll Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as needed Work Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, with occasional overtime as needed Qualifications: Associate’s or bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 1-3 years of accounting or accounts payable experience preferred Strong attention to detail and organization skills Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Positive attitude and willingness to learn Customer service experience is a plus Compensation & Benefits: Competitive hourly rate Health, Life, Dental and Vision insurance 401(k) with company contributions Paid vacation, holidays and sick days Profit sharing Complimentary internet, TV, landline phone and mobile services where available Company apparel Join a local company where your work makes a difference, your contributions are valued, and you’ll be part of a team that has proudly served our communities for more than 115 years. #J-18808-Ljbffr Wabash Mutual Telephone/Wabash Communications, Inc.
