Job Opportunity: Advanced Endoscopist

Our organization is on the lookout for a full-time Advanced Endoscopist to become a vital member of our Gastroenterology Team in Grand Rapids.

Practice Highlights:

• Join a friendly and skilled team consisting of six dedicated physicians and five advanced practice providers (APPs), with plans for future expansion.
• Be part of a well-established advanced endoscopy program that offers a wide array of techniques in a state-of-the-art environment.
• Access a high-volume, endoscopy-exclusive ambulatory surgery center (ASC) and a modern inpatient endoscopy unit, both conveniently located on the same campus as our office, with ample parking.
• Enjoy the benefits of MAC anesthesia for all inpatient and outpatient procedures, enhancing patient comfort and procedural efficiency.
• Work in a collaborative and supportive atmosphere that emphasizes professionalism, confidence, and teamwork.
• Utilize modern facilities equipped with Olympus 190 scopes, Epic for inpatient and clinic visits, and Provation for all procedure documentation.
• Experience a manageable call schedule, with coverage expected every eighth week.
• Typically, the daily endoscopy schedule includes 14 outpatient procedures, while the inpatient census averages fewer than 10 patients, supported by APPs for inpatient consults, ensuring a balanced and sustainable workload.
• Act as a referral center for specialized care across the region, serving Trinity Health West Michigan.
• Collaborate closely with the Lacks Cancer Center and the Cancer Center Network of West Michigan, receiving strong support from surgical oncology, medical oncology, colorectal surgery, and interventional radiology.
• Engage in educational initiatives through resident teaching and mentorship, contributing to the training of future healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive salary starting at $600,000, along with a $75,000 signing bonus.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a fourth-year advanced endoscopy training program is required.
• Candidates must be board certified in their specialty or board eligible, with the expectation to achieve board certification within five years of becoming board eligible.
• A valid State of Michigan license is required at the time of employment.
• DEA license is necessary.
• BLS Certification must be obtained and maintained.
