FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER (PART TIME)

Location: Lonoke Schools – 401 West Holly Street, Lonoke, AR 72086. Applications accepted via online portal only. Schedule: Part‑time, Monday through Friday; hours may vary. Details will be discussed during interview. Pay: $11.00–$12.50 per hour. Referral: Internal employee referral bonus available. Job Summary Perform cashiering duties and general food service work while maintaining sanitation standards in the preparation, service, and dining room facilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables; weigh and measure ingredients. Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards. Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment. Store foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and food safety and rotation procedures. Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils. Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements. Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control. Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner following outlined steps of service. Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service‑oriented manner. Relays relevant information to supervisor. Perform sales transactions, enter sales into cash register, make change, accept card or other payment, issue receipts. Follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds. Maintain assigned change funds and cash receipts; ensure cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards. Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness. Perform other duties as assigned.
