Cyber Security Engineer (Remote)

The Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for vulnerability management, data loss prevention, identity and access management, vendor due diligence, tier 3 end-user support, and incident response.A successful candidate will have:Exemplary customer service experienceStrong attention to detail and time management skillsConfident and articulate communication skillsInitiative and strong work ethicAbility to effectively build and maintain relationships with Emprise associates, vendors, and professional contactsAn understanding of and commitment to our valuesEssential functions of the role:Vulnerability ManagementLead the daily operating and forensic activities of our IT Security program, including patch management, vulnerability scanning, threat detection and analysis, and remediation of security eventsStay current on emerging security threats and proactively communicate with leadership teamLead project activities and root cause analysis related to our IT Security programIdentity and Access ManagementDevelop and maintain identity and access management solutions/policies for the bankEnsure least-privileged access is maintained where possible; own strategic develop of future identity and access management needsData Loss Prevention Develop, review, and test the bank's DLP controls annually. Look for gaps and identify opportunities for improved controls, settings, and processes designed to secure the storage and transmission of confidential dataVendor Due DiligenceVet out new vendors by conducting due diligence surveys and ensuring required security controls are in placeConduct annual reviews for critical vendors; own security due diligence process, including survey enhancements and documentation of findings in preferred vendor management platformTier 3 End User SupportServe as expert level escalation for the security team to perform complex analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of technical security issues for end usersDesign, recommend, and implement solutionsEnsure all phases of resolution are documented including testing, best solutions, and related follow up communicationOther duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility of the jobRequirementsCollege Degree or level of education that, together with industry experience, enables the applicant to meet the job requirementsExtensive knowledge of the following technologies is required: Deep knowledge of SIEM platforms, malware applications (Windows Defender, Symantec, etc.), demonstrated expertise in threat detection and analysis, Patch management systems, Active DirectoryFamiliarity with the following technologies is preferred: VMware, Hypervisor, Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), Office 365BenefitsIn addition to a competitive salary and benefits, Emprise offers professional growth, a rewarding and challenging environment, opportunities to be involved in our communities, and a culture of integrity, passion, and success.
