The applicant will support designs of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) and Units that provide power and control for mechanisms and other external devices, with special emphasis on design for manufacturing, assembly, test, and cost.What You Will DoLead or support digital and/or mechanism control designs for avionics systemsEnhance electrical engineering skills by working with digital and/or analog hardware testing and debugging complex circuit card assemblies or electro-mechanical systems. Prior hands-on troubleshooting experience is preferredSupport component level design and test reviewsRaytheon has a strong culture of mentoring; it is expected that employees will be both mentors and menteesCollaboration with both Functional and Program higher level management.Collaboration with Customer and SuppliersAssignment may require some travel (~25%)Assignments may include being a team member or guiding a team through several phases of hardware systems lifecycle such as designs and analysis; architecting new electronic systems; developing and documenting subsystem requirements and test plans; peer reviews of designs as a subject matter expert; presentations to peers, management, and government customers; and root-cause failure investigationsQualifications You Must HaveA Bachelors Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics related field or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.Eight years of experience in one or more of the following areas:Analog, digital, and power electronics design, integration, and production supportQualifications We PreferProficient in digital design tools for CCA Schematic Capture, Interconnect Capture and Harness DesignPrior experience as a technical leader on a complex subsystem during Engineering, Manufacturing, and Development (EMD) PhaseAdvanced degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or related engineering degrees.Systems engineering thought process with analytical skills background.Highly self-motivated individual that can perform multidiscipline workElectrical subsystems typically contain motors, EO/IR Sensors, servo drive circuit cards, digital circuit cards, and configurable logic so the ideal candidate will have a background in designing and troubleshooting of one or more of these components. Ideal candidates will also have experience in project leadership, systems engineering and architecture and have a desire to grow to a higher level.Able to network and/or influence outside of the Department with other design and production support organizations, program leadership, other engineering disciplines and Manufacturing organizations.Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with peers, suppliers, management, and customers in a production environment.Proven experience in balancing engineering process discipline and innovation for rapid development and program success.Experience working with satellite or similar systems.Ability to effectively work multiple tasks and priorities.Knowledge of mixed signal electronics.Practical experience in all phases of the product development lifecycle.What We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
