Controls & Electrical Engineer I

Cytiva seeks an entry-level Controls & Electrical Engineer to support the design and maintenance of electrical and control systems for manufacturing environments. The role involves assisting with PLC programming, automation projects, troubleshooting, and process improvement initiatives under senior engineer guidance. A bachelor's degree in electrical, controls, or automation engineering and teamwork skills are required.
Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing processes and identify automation and efficiency improvement opportunities
- Support modification and documentation of electrical and control system schematics and procedures
- Assist with writing, testing, and debugging PLC and HMI control logic
- Support troubleshooting of electrical, control, and process-related issues
- Support validation, installation, commissioning, and startup of automation projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, controls, automation, or computer engineering
- Experience in electrical, controls, or automation engineering through co-op or internship
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Effective team collaboration and clear technical communication skills
- Willingness to learn, accept guidance, and develop technical expertise
Compensation: $77,000 - $90,000 base; eligible for bonus/incentive pay
