Per-diem Cook Opportunity

Momentum at South Bay for Rehabilitation and Nursing has opportunities for Per-diem Cooks to join their team! The cook is responsible for prepping and preparing food for residents and staff. Nursing home experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Handles and prepares food in accordance with federal, state and local sanitary regulations.
• Prepares nutritionally appropriate and appetizing meals, including modified consistency and therapeutic diets, as directed by Food Service Director and/or Supervisor.
• Properly cares for dietary equipment.
• Follows menus and special diet instructions.
• Takes food temperatures per policy and ensures food items are prepared, cooled and stored in adherence to corporate, local, state and federal guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director or Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have general cooking knowledge.
• 2 years of cooking experience.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Must be able to follow production sheets and standardized recipes.

Salary: $26.37 - $28.73 per hour

Shift available: M-F, weekends as needed, evening shift.
