Full Time Field Service Technician

Full Time Field Service Technician – Dallas, TX Robotics & Digital Solutions (RDS) Division of The Hillman Group is hiring a Full Time Field Service Technician in the Dallas, TX area. The role focuses on kiosk technology, including duplicate key kiosks (Minute Key), tag engraving kiosks (Quick Tag), and third‑party service such as Eco‑ATM and Pokémon. The territory consists of 70+ kiosks and the position requires approximately 40 hours per week. The pay rate is $22–23 per hour. Company car, cell‑phone reimbursement, and a corporate gas card for business miles will be provided. Perform on‑call repairs or adjustments when a machine stops working. Install new kiosks or replace existing machines in the local area. Monitor kiosks daily for issues and contact stores to resolve connectivity or power problems. Track inventory for restocking. Grow revenue in territory by optimizing machine locations, uptime, product mix, and store relationships. Employees are expected and encouraged to participate in safety and health program activities, including reporting hazards, unsafe work practices, and incidents to supervisors, wearing required personal protective equipment, and supporting safety committee activities. Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED. Background in electromechanical repair and maintenance (preferred). Prior experience in retail merchandising, field operations, and customer service (preferred). 1–3 years of experience in a similar role (preferred). Experience with tools and troubleshooting mechanical problems. Fluent English for reading, writing, and speaking, including technical jargon. Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Professional representation of Hillman. Availability to work weekends when required. Operational Equipment Excellent driving record with a valid driver’s license; major violations will eliminate potential candidates. Reliable transportation with automobile insurance (mileage reimbursement). Reliable cell phone (reimbursed). Work Environment and Physical Demands Work environment varies based on location/store setup; may be exposed to cramped quarters, dust, fumes, or odors. Daily travel may involve driving up to 200 miles. Hand/eye coordination, functional vision, and hearing are required. Physical demands: lift up to 30 lb., occasionally push or pull up to 100 lb.
